I think its the least they can do by way of an apology after pulling the rug so neatly out from under his feet

I'd say so, Nick - including sorting it on a day (Friday) to suit! Pete, you have PM

I think Josh is out and about still but should pick up emails and things I would imagine. Perhaps it might be worth emailing Fuzz T to see if he might be able to pull some strings as he is supposed to be hosting the bloody show.

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to write something sooner but I have been on the road since Wednesday and only just managed to get my feet under the desk.
I know this doesn’t compensate Kevin and his family for their time and emotional investment, but I am genuinely sorry for this unfortunate turn of events. I know it must seem unreasonable to start an episode then have to cancel and it is disappointing all round that this situation has happened. The unfortunate truth is that this series is untried and tested and the budget, format and general approach is constantly fluctuating as everyone finds their feet. This means a budget which often moves and can, in the worst case situation, have a knock on effect such as this.
Please know this is also a blow to me and our production team. We work very hard to find these stories, build up relationships with the contributors and set up the shoots. So after a long day’s filming on Wednesday, to be told the episode has been pulled is also frustrating for all the crew who worked that day.
Sadly, these things do occasionally happen in TV production and all I can do is offer my sincere apologies.
On a more positive note, seeing how you are all banding around to do something for Kevin is truly inspiring (and makes me feel all the more guilty about what has happened). I have organized to have the car delivered as per Kevin's specifications, to you on Friday instead of back to Kevin's workshop.
Please feel free to contact me,
Kind Regards
Josh

Hi Josh, thanks for posting that and as Paul so rightly said, no-one is blaming you as an individual. It must indeed be rather frustrating from your side as well. However, we are grateful that you have managed to sort out the delivery of the car to Essex. Thanks for that.
I'm sure there would be a burger and some jammy dodgers available for you if you were in the area lol+++.
Cheers
Ken

I think we all understand that you weren't personally responsible, Josh, and thank you for accepting responsibility in any case. On a more positive note, seeing how you are all banding around to do something for Kevin is truly inspiring ( and makes me feel all the more guilty about what has happened) I wouldn't dream of suggesting that was part of the plan when this was first suggested but please try to pass some of that guilt back to the decision makers responsible. We all know that anything media related is a cut-throat business, but when companies start deailing in reality programs and cutting the throats of the innocent public who make the programs (and their profits) possible, that's not really acceptable!

Email sent to Classics Monthly to see if they have any interest in this. Will report back with any news. It may well be too late but it is still worth a try.

No worries Josh and as I think you can tell, nobody was blaming you. You and the crew are still more than welcome to attend the weekender (Saturday will be most of the spanner twirling action), it might even give you some footage that you could use at some other time, especially if the format etc keeps changing.
