this is classic damage caused by long driving with a diaphragm gone, I was warned about this when my Gina had her diapraghm go.. I was lucky to repair mine befire the damage was done, I hope you can sort it without too much trouble, but I suspect you will be needing to find a new primary gearbox

Just a balance weight assembly should be good. I replaced one on mine, along with the diaphragm spring behind it which had broken a finger.

Some news, the primary have two kind of weights, on the left 66-44, on the right 55-44. In the past someone changed the diaphgram and the weight on the right. In effect right weight is in good condition, the left in very poor....

I'll have to check the weights in the book. A mixed set is madness!

In effect right weight is in good condition, the left in very poor.... Problably this is the reason because the right weight support is a bit folded... I ask me how many miles has come with different weights...

you have to open them enough to get a 22mm spacer into the middle, the daf tool is like a clamp that has wedges to push the halves apart, but I have heard of it being done by using a jack to push a wooden wedge into the discs to make them seperate, beware, there is enough spring pressure in there to crush your fingers as flat as paper.. so dont put fingers in there under any circumstances
or in web based italian..
