Yep, that's the one Ozzie, cream with red interior. Needs sill ends welding but otherwise appears solid. Engine seized but another can be supplied. Anything else that we have in the parts barn that she needs can be supplied. Always welcome to pop down for a look. Not sure where you reside but most of our visitors have found the journey worthwhile...

I was looking for a runner that would last a few years decades until the others were done and then it could be done . Sorry, couldn't resist it. I understand your plan, but what usually happens is the the runner becomes a time vacuum and the other projects slow down, etc. I do wish you all the best with this plan though.

The buggy needs about 2 weeks work and the cv is a basket so long term so I think it leaves me a year or so left
Isabelle is interesting tho 33 I know but with the clutch pucks / shoes done looks fine how much do the relines cost. Who's up for doing them for me so I can drive her back to the West Country

If you send to clutch shoes to us in Essex we can take them to Intertruck of Colchester who do our re-lining in the past. Can't remember what they charge so will have to check but all you'd need to pay us is the cost of the job and return postage. Nothing in it for us, all out of kindness; we're good like that. Presume you'll be able to remove the engine, it's an hour's work and no special tools required, it slides out on a trolley jack.

Well, we are not a business per se, just a group of hobbyists however we do have a barn full of spares which we sometimes sell to cover the rent.

Even then, there was no legal requirement for ny other belts (not even front passenger)to be fitted until 1981, although most, if not all, makers fitted to both sides in the front. I thought there was a requirement for the outer front passenger seat to be fitted with one? I used to own a Wolseley 16/60, and there was no issue sitting someone in the middle front seat without a belt. Yep, my mistake - sufferng emotional overload and a tooth extraction this week so won't apologise if its all the same to you

for now I am going to go with Issabelle. Good choice. Unless something bad's happebed during her time in Norfolk, she has probably the sweetest and most eager twin-pot engine I've seen to date. Plus she deserves to find a proper home just for surviving this long against so many odds! Clutch lining should be possible by any local place specialising in that sort of thing. Mill Auto Supplies in St Austell used to be reliable for brake relines if they're still around.

The requirement (from C&U regs 1986, reg 47.2(a)) for vehicles first used before 1st April '81 is for a "body restraining belt" in the driver's and specified front seat positions.
A "diagonal only" belt fits that description, although I'd rather wear no belt at all than something that's going to extrude you under the dash like a cheap sausage in the event of a crash!
