Cheers Joe. It has rattled me to be honest. This is the first car accident that I have caused in my life. Maybe I'm better at tinkering with them than driving 'em eh. It's a lovely little car, maybe just not the right one for me. That's a damn fine record, Ken, so don't beat yerself up over it - from the other car's pov it was barely a parking scrape (and they had no business parking on a dual carriageway anyway ) As for the car, like I said - give her a chance to redeem herself! One thing I did notice when I took her for the MOT was that the brakes weren't quite as sharp as they could be - still well above MOT standard but I know from experience that the system can give more. Unfortunately, I could only fit so much in while we were there so left it at a "they passed". Maybe another thing to add to the look-see list if she makes it up to have her eyes done? It might help give you back a bit of confidence in her as well to feel the difference after a strip, clean & adjust....

All nice new stainless screws will be fitted re: headlights and indicators with plenty of Copaslip. The same will apply to the bolts securing the grille. I will need to take the thankfully undamaged bumper off to get to the bodywork properly. The headlamp ring picture was taken after I straightened it.
I will try and reduce the remaining bump at the front of Vee's bonnet. I think that it should be ok as it is accessable.
I will also try and do the battery leads tomorrow too.

That's outstanding, Ken!
Don't like to mention it but that must be a rough area your garage is in - she's only been there 24 hours and some git's nicked the new tax disk already!!!! ;D

Cheers Joe, it's a slight improvement. The amount of filler already on there was amazing. At least it will all get treated now.
The new one is in the glove box. I will get a proper tax disc holder at some point for her.
Hopefully a little care package from Matt and Pete will arrive soon enough and more work can be done.

That is an improvement already Ken. I'm sure you'll soon get her straight and all will be well. At least you've found that old plop and can sort it properly.

Yeah. I'll replace it with new plop lol+++++. Despite the purists' objections, if the stuff didn't work the makers would've been out of business by now
